BANG TANG POTTS POINT
EST 2014
ASIAN - Inspired Eatery
Healthy foods with a naughty soul
12 years. 3 locations. Thousands of meals. Countless memories.
In 2014, Bang Tang began as a tiny little hole in the wall on Llankelly Place. With just a handful of seats and a lot of passion, we set out to serve fresh, delicious food and hopefully make a few people happy along the way.
In 2018, we moved to Victoria Street. The restaurant got a little bigger, and to our delight, so many of you came with us. We shared busy lunches, late dinners, special celebrations, and even made it through the challenges of COVID together.
Then in 2022, we found our home on Orwell Street beneath Springfield Tower. It became the next chapter of our journey — filled with familiar faces, new friendships, laughter, stories, and all the little moments that make a neighbourhood restaurant so special.
Today, after nearly 12 unforgettable years, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors as we face the same economic challenges affecting so many small businesses.
Bang Tang's final service will be this Sunday, 5:30pm – 9:30pm.
To our customers, neighbours, fellow local businesses, suppliers, friends, and the entire Potts Point community — thank you. Thank you for every visit, every recommendation, every conversation, and every meal shared with us.
We are sad to say goodbye, but even more grateful for the journey we've had together.
This may be the end of a chapter, but it's not the end of the story.
Please follow @bangtangpottspoint to see what comes next.
Fresh. Delicious. Quality. Fun.
And for that, we have all of you to thank. Our hearts are full.
